When I am being serenaded as I wake up, I pay attention. Today it was Peter Tosh. Little did I know he was sharing the stage. When the words have something to tell me, I pay even closer attention. Today could bring the first steps in a long dance away from people, thoughts, experiences and swirling uncertainties that are no longer here, no longer apply. Amnesia in its mildest form can be a gift. Forget about it. Let it go. Nothing like a reggae beat to start the forward momentum. Just put your hand in mine. xo

We're gonna leave all our troubles behind
For today, let's walk and don't look back. And Mick, were any of us every that young? One of my happy songs, not thought of in years.

Places behind you/There to remind you...
Oh yes, I remember when this was first released. Jagger's voice is unmistakeable. And while Tosh is a fine artist, the duo is remarkable. As is the message.
Fine, happy post, Marylinn. Brightens my day. :)
Jayne - I'm glad. It brightened mine. A message to savor, to hold tight. xo
I love simple, happy lyrics. Your just let it go; forget about it. It reminds me of a Lady Gaga (ha - I know) song titled "Just Dance" as if everything can be solved and forgotten, but for a few minutes, maybe it can?
xo
Rachel - Just a few minutes seems all I was allowed...demon anxiety was temporarily back today. But we must keep playing the happy songs and acting as if (and I think eventually it becomes true) we do get to move away from the past. Just dance. xo
