I picture us, gathering like a harvest all that we've seen, experienced, heard about, read, everything, then sifting through it to arrive at some personal, unique truth - which may have validity beyond us - and, in that, it is easy to see time becoming other than what we've been told. It may be too late in the day for me to make sense. But we can always return to the subject in the future. And I've not seen "Mrs. Dalloway," so I thank you for telling me about that. xoMarylinn Kellyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02759437467691163658noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2400078448867068387.post-82721544644613703122014-11-29T13:12:11.110-08:002014-11-29T13:12:11.110-08:00This discussion reminded me of the film "Mrs ...This discussion reminded me of the film "Mrs Dalloway" that I watched the other day.Virginia Woolf, through her characters and their experiences, introduces the idea of the 'living present' where present and past overlays to such an extent in our minds that we often live in a different time frame and past experiences reply in our minds like a private video recorder. I also strongly agree with the idea that we are more shaped by our inner life - our thoughts, our decisions, our inner chatter, than any external chronological events, and that the two are inseparable in shaping our future! From a new but future reader. Thanks, Marylinn.<br />Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04032962809504384887noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2400078448867068387.post-39123354959530871782014-11-29T08:37:45.699-08:002014-11-29T08:37:45.699-08:00Kass - IS it a disorder or do we have it right? And thank you for a new-to-me word, invaginate. I really believe the possibilities are without limit(or wish them to be). xoMarylinn Kellyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02759437467691163658noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2400078448867068387.post-21364168110449413732014-11-29T06:01:57.136-08:002014-11-29T06:01:57.136-08:00I think we have the same disorder regarding 't...I think we have the same disorder regarding 'time.' Reality is so flexible. The idea of dimensions fascinates me. Physicists ponder the possibility that dimensions invaginate, creating even more dimensions than we have imagined.Kasshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05233330248952156754noreply@blogger.com
