Still know all the words

Yesterday's mail brought the official registration form for Pasadena High School, Class of 1962 Reunion a year from now. Among the many questions - will we be refused admittance if we fail to answer? - is a line that asks, Songs, Groups? May I have a second sheet, please?

Today's stamp illustration called one favorite, certainly one favorite singer, to mind: Sam Cooke. If I start on the list now, I may be done in time for my early registration in November. Will you find something today to call wonderful? I promise to do the same.

My song circle. Called the "leader" and told her that I could not walk well enough today and at 7:35, the phone rang. The group put me on speakerphone to share the healing ritual portion with me and I sang with them for those fifteen minutes. Wonderful came to me, jumping up and down, calling my name--I did not have to look for it. How lucky am I?

Slicing the heads off of blueberry muffins and slathering them with cream cheese is pretty wonderful.

So is being so far away and gone that my class reunion (this summer would have been 40)can never ever find me. Pure wonderful.

Jeanette - Wonderful is always best, and most true, when it comes and finds us as it did you this morning. It is its nature, that stealth feature. How lucky indeed? Thanks for sharing this. xo

Rebecca - I swear cream cheese on cardboard would make me happy. Mmmm, blueberry muffin tops, even better.

A solid 3/4 if not more of our class has vanished without a trace...some I would love to see. But when we don't want to be found...

Glad wonderful sidled up to you today. xo

Fridays are wonderful. Especially with a date lined up and Oktoberfest on the horizon. Yesterday, it was a free muffin from the deli - the guy at the counter knows me and sometimes slips goodies in with my soup.

T. - Agreed..."You Send Me," a fantasy (these days) choice for slow dancing. xo

Wonderful is the new, slower pace and the welcome (and different) traction I feel because of it. Oh, and the sight of my cherry tree in full, exuberant bloom.

Claire - The slower pace does allow greater traction, doesn't it? Less likelihood of skidding in one's socks across the kitchen floor. And your cherry tree...we can all picture the wonderfulness, the welcomeness (word?not a word?) of that. xo
