Word of the Week - 155

Portion of "Window in Collioure" by Henri Matisse, 1942
Word of the Week: TIPTOE

My thought for the week:  I'd rather not walk where I feel the need to tiptoe.  I am at home in art, in beauty, in poetry, color, music, laughter, all foods for the senses.  I find strength there, bedrock wisdom, grounding.  For whatever life has planned, I am better for leaning into what provides enduringly solid footing while acting as a timeless balm for my soul.

That Matisse is one of my favorite paintings of his -- I saw it at LACMA years ago and practically burst into tears.

Elizabeth - It is not one I had known, at least not well, before and my response would have been exactly the same. Finding it the other day, it gave me hope that all oxygen and light had not been extracted from our world. xo

Perfect quote Marylinn. I was just writing to Mary about Tom Robbins this morning!

Rebecca - Oh good! Thank you. I cannot stop thinking about your stuffed octopus toy. Is he, perhaps, a practicing sorcerer? Love back, xo
