"There is perhaps no better demonstration of the folly of human conceits than this distant image of our tiny world. To me, it underscores our responsibility to deal more kindly with one another, and to preserve and cherish the pale blue dot, the only home we've ever known." I love that - kinda puts it all in perspective, eh?
tattytiara - Welcome...the Sagan quote showed up first, the rest followed. Clearly the sign of a superior mind, wanting the series as your first videos.
Antares Cryptos - But we do need a reminder...sometimes. Otherwise we become lodged in worrying that our hair didn't turn out in the back or the store was out of the "good" whatever.
It was a weekend for Sagan, wasn't it? I await your multi-parter, as, I am sure, other band members do.
Dear Marylinn - I have been back here several times to sit in your company and listen. I'm a wordless creature these days; appreciate the true few you have offered, and too, those from tattytiara, Antares Cryptos and Jayne. Thanks all. (((((O)))))
Claire - Not exactly brimming over with words myself, making me especially grateful for comments. You know how welcome you are to come here and contemplate. Thank you for leaving a pebble. xo

Oh I do adore Sagan. The first videos I ever got was the Cosmos series that I begged for for Christmas.
Marylinn, I really feel as part of this amazing band. Watched some Sagan over the weekend.
A planned post, in years of production, will probably turn into a multi-parter. (I think I just created a new word?).
A little spec in vast darkness, why does humanity "need" the reminder?
P.S. The working title ;): The Age of Ignorance.

Jayne - I love that too. Goosebumps from reading the voice-over written out. So much wisdom, compressed into, what? three minutes?
