Be happy in your work
There is an ever-shrinking chamber of mind that still carries doubt and dread. It is where the notion of life as a balancing act resides. However, there are other rooms that house contrary notions and when my hand draws, these opposing factions try to occupy the same space. With no conscious intention, FishHatUnicycleBoy appeared to embody this conflict: yes, it is a teetering ride and isn't it a lark, being fully foolish as we pedal?

there is something about a unicycle that embodies absurdity, joy, and a magical faith that things will work out...
and i'm def down with anyone who wears a fish hat.
any time, anywhere.
can you see my smiley smile all the way from the east coast?
Susan - I can see and feel your smile all the way out here...not too much atmospheric interference today. Yes to all you said. It is almost a fish fez, isn't it? There's a concept. xo
A 'fish fez' - love it!
You could start a new line Marylinn? Felt and sequins. I know I'd wear one. . .
Smiling all the way down here, too. It certainly is a teetering ride and - sometimes - a lark, yes; especially when being fully foolish as we pedal is encouraged.
xo
I've been on one side for a while now - upbeat, positive, working, belief and am not starting to teeter the other way saying NOOOOOOOO on the way over. It is a balance, to stay in the middle and not too far to each side.
xoxo
Having felt and acted a little serious/ly this morning, I'm now going to pop the sardine skins on top and wobble off down the garden path. Thanks, Marylinn.
So often when I visit you I seem to pause and take a deep breath - and then I wonder why I need reminding, but there it is.
Thank you for the sunshine.
Claire - Fish hat/fez as band wear. We will make a statement. So glad for smiles. xo
Rachel - It is always a matter of balance, is it not? What better image than a unicycle, while I remain gratefully off to the side, happy for whatever balance I can maintain on two firmly-planted feet. xo
Penelope - What a picture you create...trailed by seagulls, but we do what we must. Happy wobbles. xo
Isabel - You are welcome for sunshine. I bring out what I need to remind myself. xo
Haha! It is a fish fez! I have little nieces who ride around on a unicycle. They look exactly like your drawing when they do so. Or perhaps, it is my imagination that they look exactly like your drawing--fish fez and all.
I love the spirit of this post, Marylinn. Sometimes we must teeter before we can tot. ;)
Jayne - Nieces on unicycles, what a family. Honorary fish hats for all. Thank you...the teeter/wobble seems to come with the territory, i.e. life but we do, best case, find our equilibrium. This fellow is my most optimistic alter ego. xo
