What if there was no such thing as music?

With thanks to the friends who shared this on Facebook.  With the wonder of it all.

If the video doesn't play full screen (which it seems not to, due to my template) you can find it and more on YouTube under LANDFILL HARMONIC.

In another lifetime 40 years ago I taught music in East LA and Watts. And saw the same faces of joy on kids making music.

Erin - I understand. My brother is a music teacher near Perth, WA, in a highly disadvantaged school and his reports of the magic those children perform never fail to give me goosebumps. Music, at the top of the gratitude list this morning. xo

Heidrun, The magic I feel from music, though I don't make any myself except singing - a thing of the moment only - is without limit. To see the combined gift of instruments created from essentially nothing and the joy of learning to create music on them is a fine source of hope. xo
