this is pretty amazing.
this totally warms my heart - what an amazing find!
Thank you for making my day
In another lifetime 40 years ago I taught music in East LA and Watts. And saw the same faces of joy on kids making music.
Erin
Angella - The human capacity for creating, for problem-solving, for beauty. Messages of hope continue to arrive. xo
Denise - So glad you saw/heard it. It made my day, too. xo
Erin - I understand. My brother is a music teacher near Perth, WA, in a highly disadvantaged school and his reports of the magic those children perform never fail to give me goosebumps. Music, at the top of the gratitude list this morning. xo
Music gets the people who have little a hope for something.
Heidrun, The magic I feel from music, though I don't make any myself except singing - a thing of the moment only - is without limit. To see the combined gift of instruments created from essentially nothing and the joy of learning to create music on them is a fine source of hope. xo
