Judging by the ever-increasing bestseller section in bookstores, good or great books should be added to the quote.
Antares - Yes, for kids just reading anything is a place to start. Bigger folk need to be a bit more selective, though I imagine that was what Mr. Bradbury meant to say. :D

One of the beauties of American culture is the idea of freedom, however the adverse is someone quelling that notion if they don't agree with what you are proclaiming. I applaud Ray Bradbury's attempts to examine life thoroughly in Fahrenheit 451 and to the many authors whose words were silenced; may people read your work and THINK!
Daniela - Thank you for visiting and commenting. I so agree with your quote about censorship. I am not happy when the Klan marches but I am not confused that if they did not have that choice, neither would I for those things in which I believe. I am a fan of quiet and would like to see us become more civil with one another, less reactive, more patient. A modicum of respect does not equal agreement. I don't like to think jeering has become our national pastime.
